During the 2000 Camp David Summit, Yasser Arafat said that no Jewish Temple ever existed on the Temple Mount

These views are contradicted by a book entitled A Brief Guide to al-Haram al-Sharif, published by the Supreme Moslem Council in 1929

It is remarkable how the PLO had no interest in the "West Bank," Golan Heights and Gaza Strip until Israel regained it in the 67 war! In fact why was there no effort to organize a "Palestinian State" when Jordon had annexed the "West Bank" and Egypt the Gaza Strip?
However, the Palestinian Charter was revised in 1968 - none of the articles that called for the destruction of the Jewish nation were revised. One point that was revised was Article 24 and the wording was changed completely to omit the original "no interested" in the original land areas.
